Drumroll Please… 2010!
A few weeks ago I was perusing Christine Kane’s blog and reading all the posts about having a word for the year. This isn’t a new idea to me; for at least the last three or four years I’ve picked a theme or intention for me year as well as setting new goals and reviewing the past years goals and accomplishments. But, I’ve been so frantically rushing around between home, holidays, and setting the foundation for this business that I’d totally forgotten that I might want to pay some attention to my goals for this upcoming year.
I filed it away and decided that I needed to make space to think about my theme for 2010 – although I had no idea where I wanted to go with it. Then accidentally I came across a blog post on Sunday Scribblings where “Dare” was the theme. And I thought to myself, “Maybe I’ll make a post on that topic?”
Then coincidentally when I swung by Jamie Ridler’s blog to check on the Wishcasting Wednesday theme for the week and discovered this post which I thought was very coincidental. So, it may surprise you that it took a day or two for my mind to realize that my theme for 2010 needs to be:
Dare
For, oh so many reasons, 2010 is my year for taking chances, for putting myself out there, and for daring. As it will be the theme for my life I suspect it will often be the theme for this blog too! Along those lines I have two challenges for you in this post:
1) What’s your theme for 2010? Where do you need to grow, or stretch or gain? What do you need to believe in for yourself? For the world? Take some time this weekend to make a little space and ask yourself what one word best describes your intent for the coming year? And hey, turns out that Christine Kane has made a helpful little tool for you to use, stop by and sign up for her list and she’ll email you the form. Let me know what theme you settle on, I’d love to support you in your intent!
2) Join me in being Daring this year! Let’s throw ourselves into some risks and all those things we’ve always been scared of trying together. On that note I’ve decided to start a Daring Mondays theme. Because, it’s so easy for life to help us forget our intentions for the year (even though I believe they work in the background even when we have forgotten them) Daring Mondays is meant to remind me (and you too) all year long. And, because to me Limitless Living is all about encouraging women like you and me to take risks and leap off edges every day. And frankly, because no day needs a little daring up more than drab and dull Mondays does. I hope you’ll join me and make 2010 a year full of dares and undiscovered possibilities!
Yours,
Megan
p.s. See you Monday!

I'm even on the cover - no not her down there near the bottom; that's me there.

I love Christine Kane’s blog and her idea of a word for the year. Last year, I used Abundance as my guide. It was an amazing teacher for me. This year, I can’t settle on only one word. So I’m going for more of a triumvirate: Clarity, Visible and Expansion.
I would love to share in your Daring Mondays. I intend to create a small coaching workshop here in my small town of clarksville, Tn. This is a huge, bold, DARING step for me. Keep me on track with your Daring Mondays!!!
Happy New Year!
Glad, I found Christine’s blog through your blog
.
Maybe you just need to keep playing with your words. Two things I notice right away:
- Clarity and Visible are interconnected… you need clarity to see
- if you take out the and you have an actual expression: Visible Expansion
Do either of these give you more clarity for your year’s intention? (Also, I think if you were going to go with more than one word it would be better if it was two complimentary words – like Passion & Purpose – or an actual phrase.) Maybe Clarity isn’t your what and your why but the HOW that you need to use to accomplish the others?
Yours,
Megan
