Limitless Living: One brilliant life-lover's guide to creating your brilliant life

Take the Challenge: Help me Hit my Goal!

Tarot are the perfect medium for me, and I’ll tell you why; I’ve always been intuitive/psychic/prophetic whatever you like to call it, and I have a real passion for great art. I myself dabble in watercolour and draw now and then and I love to look at the soul revealing art of others just as much as I like to make my own. The tarot combines both these things.

I’ve got Runes, even taken some classes and gotten pretty good with them, but they don’t do it for me like the Tarot does. I can read them, and they open that intuitive doorway just as well, but they don’t give me that same all over, warm fuzzy excitement I get from a great deck of cards.

I buy cards because they speak to me, and often because at least one of the cards is worthy of framing and hanging on my wall. Like this one, isn’t she gorgeous?

The Empress from The Legacy Tarot

I think if you are going to do something like this, something that is meant to connect spirit to Spirit then it should definitely come through a vehicle that moves you, takes your breath away, and is stunningly beautiful in your eyes. After all, these are all signs that something is speaking your soul and your spirit’s language.

All this is why I so desperately want to get my hands on these: The Limited Edition Gaian Tarot.

Knight of Wands - Gaian Tarot

The art is stunning, it’s breathtaking.

Ace of Swords - Gaian Tarot

And I love the way she is repositioning and reclaiming the cards. So many of the names and labels of the Tarot were created and set at least 100, if not several hundred more, years ago; while the archetypes and messages are still true today, the names and labels don’t always resonate with us. Small changes, like changing from suits (cups, wands, swords, and pentacles) to the elements they represent (water, fire, air, and earth), and big changes like renaming the courts and other cards make these cards easier to learn and read. They open new possibilities in my mind.

Plus, it took her nine year – nine years people – to paint this deck. I’ve heard that making a Tarot deck is a labour of love, at traditional publishing rates you never really get paid the value of your work. I think this limited edition is a clever way to give people something of value, while getting some fair compensation for almost a decade’s worth of work.

I love how the Gaian is so earth focused, it feels feminine and powerful to me and frankly I want one.

The Plan

Sadly, the husband man just won’t go for me allocating that much family money for a deck of cards (he just doesn’t love the art and majesty of the Tarot like I do), so if I want to buy the deck I need to earn the money myself.

I’ve been thinking about this for a little while and I’ve come up with a plan. A kind of Campaign with an end target of earning the $250 I need to buy myself a Gain Tarot deck.

Here’s the proposition, all I need to do to reach my goal is Ten (measly, simple) readings for $25 a pop. Ten is a totally doable number, and $25 is a way reasonable investment, don’t you think?

Normally, I would value 7-10 card spread (or a 9 Rune cast) at $50+ (of course, if you looked at my Pricing page you’d see it’s not as difficult as all that with me, but for the sake of the challenge let’s leave it basic), but because I really want the Gaian I thought, what if I offered 10 people a 7-10 card readings for $25 each?

What are Spreads & Casts?

That should be an easy challenge right? I can do it over the next few weeks and be sure that I’m offering all of you something really cool, useful and accurate while working towards something I couldn’t get any other way.

What do you think? Are you interested? Willing to help me out and have a little fun – or a bit of a surprise – for yourself? So far, no one I’ve read for has been disappointed (slip over to my Hire Me page to read some of my Tarot testimonials). You might know nothing about the Tarot and readings, or you might be an aficionado, either way I do what I can to make it informative, understandable, and useful for everyone.

The Nitty Gritty

Email or Tweet me and let me know that you definitely want to be one of my 10 at $25, tell me whether you prefer a Tarot reading or a Rune cast, if you have a specific question or topic of interest in mind and I’ll do the rest! I’ll send you the reading within a few days for you to peruse at your leisure.

And, just because it’s only fair that you get to see what you helped me gain, once my Gaian deck is here, I’ll send you an extra short reading with the Gaian cards – just for fun.

Any takers?

*clapping hands* Now I’m excited, I think I love doing actual readings even more than I love collecting cards. And that’s saying a lot!

Yours,
Megan
